injury Awareness for Young Athletes
Our mission is to provide early support for athletes and guide their safe return to sports
We provide clear, caring education on sports injuries so young athletes, parents, and coaches can recognize symptoms, seek timely evaluation, and make safer return-to-play decisions.
Our mission
Injury Awareness for Young Athletes (IAYA)
Injury Awareness for Young Athletes (IAYA) exists to raise awareness about sports injuries in youth athletes by connecting young athletes, parents, and coaches with experienced specialists in sports medicine. Through interviews with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other experts who have treated a wide range of injuries, IAYA provides reliable insights into injury prevention, early symptom recognition, treatment options, and safe return-to-play decisions.
By sharing real clinical experience and answering critical questions from the field, IAYA empowers athletes and families to make informed, health-first decisions ,emphasizing that listening to the body, reporting pain early, and allowing proper recovery are essential for long-term performance and well-being. IAYA is committed to building a culture in youth sports where expert guidance, injury awareness, prevention, and recovery are valued as much as performance.
